No. Stair lifts are not free for every veteran. A lift is provided at no cost only when Stair Lift for Vets has donated funds available to cover it, and that is never guaranteed. Otherwise, a discounted donated or reconditioned lift may be offered. The discount depends on available funding and each client's circumstances. You must be a veteran, or a qualifying charitable organization, to receive any discount. Installation permit costs are handled separately and are not included in the lift cost.

There are two ways to receive a lift. Both require you to be a veteran or a qualifying charitable organization.

• Funded lift: no cost for the lift itself. This is only possible when Stair Lift for Vets has donated funds available to cover it. It is never guaranteed, and availability changes.
• Discounted lift: a donated or reconditioned lift offered at a reduced price to qualifying veterans and charitable organizations. The discount depends on available funding and each client's circumstances.
• Permits: installation permit costs are separate in every case and are not included in either option.

Available equipment may include straight and curved stair lifts, primarily donated or professionally reconditioned units. The appropriate lift depends on the staircase, user needs, and available inventory.

Removal availability depends on the lift, its condition, location, staircase, and partner coverage. Submit the donation form with photos and equipment details so the team can determine whether removal can be arranged.
